Basic Purpose -The freezer picker is responsible for selecting and picking products from the freezer area of the warehouse. The job requires accurately reading orders, ensuring proper inventory in the freezer, and maintaining attention to detail, and adherence to all Company Safety and Food Safety.
Description-
Retrieve products based on order specifications using narrow aisle reach truck
Ensure accurate stock levels by scanning and logging products
Consolidating stock in the freezer
Maintain proper rotation of stock
Move material from warehouse to freezer area
Stage full truck loads
Troubleshoot any material issues with barcodes and/or inventory
Prepare selected items for shipping by packaging, labeling, and ensuring they are ready for transport
Follow food safety guidelines to keep freezer areas clean and organized, ensuring a safe work environment
All other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Freezer experience is required
Narrow aisle reach truck experience is required
RF handheld scanner experience is a plus
Education/Training:
High School graduate or GED preferred, additional truck driving school certifications or education a plus
Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.
Related Experience/Requirements:
Minimum 1-5 years’ experience in food production or food warehouse environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs. must be able to: sit long periods of time, step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed.
