KMA Consulting Engineers, Inc. (KMA) is seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our growing survey group. KMA is seeking an experienced candidate with a strong ability to take initiative and exemplify leadership qualities and adhere to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
-Should have an understanding of land survey principles and bestpractices
-Able to work with the project surveyor to efficiently coordinate field crew activities to adhere to safety protocols
-Handle survey equipment responsibly and safely
-Skills in collecting field survey data through traditional Total Station with data collectors
-Set-up, calibrate, and operate survey equipment, compile field notes and drawings
-Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as carrying instruments
Requirements:
-Minimum of 4 years experience in the field
-Must have experience with field surveys, laser scanning, topographic surveys, and construction stakeout
-Must have familiarity with electronic equipment for surveying such as Total Station and global positioning
-Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
-Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
Travel:
Mostly day travel within NJ with the possibility for some overnight travel to adjoining states. Must have a valid driver’s license. Company vehicles will be made available.
