Merchandising Assistant

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing industry in Paramus, New Jersey. We are seeking a Merchandising Assistant who can assist our team with various tasks. This role requires the candidate to be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to process and maintain accurate records and resolve inquiries efficiently.Responsibilities: Assisting the Merchandising team with various tasks Cutting fabric samples as per the required specifications Assembling sample books for the stores Processing customer applications with efficiency Maintaining accurate records of customer credit Resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action Utilizing software such as Word and demonstrating a typing speed of 6,000 - 8,000 kph. Requirements Proven experience in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing industry Proficient in using Alpha 6,000 - 8,000 kph Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word Demonstrated ability to assist in merchandise planning and allocation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to analyze sales reports and market trends Knowledge of inventory management Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
