Job Summary:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in logistics and warehouse management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a proven track record of improving efficiency and productivity in a warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
Ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders and inventory management.
Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Implement and maintain warehouse policies and procedures to optimize workflow and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Coordinate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods.
Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Assist in managing warehouse budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the warehouse.
Handle any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, shipments, or staff performance promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role within the logistics industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
