Job Title: Wood Finisher – Architectural Millwork
Location: Newton, NJ
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Overtime available during peak periods)
Compensation: Based on experience

We are a well-established commercial millwork company serving the NY/NJ region, specializing in high-end architectural woodwork for offices, hospitality spaces, and multi-family developments. Our team is growing, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Wood Finisher to help us deliver the premium-quality work we're known for.
Position Summary:
As a Wood Finisher, you’ll be responsible for preparing and finishing a wide range of architectural millwork products — including panels, trim, cabinetry, and occasionally metal components. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well in a team, and is willing to learn and grow with us.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply stains, paints, sealers, and clear finishes to wood and metal surfaces
Sand and prepare components using hand tools and machines
Mix and match custom finishes per project specifications
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe finishing area
Work collaboratively with other departments (assembly, fabrication, installation)
Follow production schedules and meet quality control standards
Safely operate spray equipment and finishing tools
Qualifications:
Experience with wood finishing, spraying, or shop work preferred
Willingness to learn – we will train the right candidate
Good eye for detail, color, and texture
Ability to lift and move panels/materials as needed
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Familiarity with HVLP spray equipment is a plus but not required
