1) Proficient in using computers, iPhone, iPad, EXCEL, WORD, emails - this is mandatory
2) Experience in commercial construction, must have knowledge of common materials, tools, servicing procedures
3) College education is a plus, architect or engineer is a plus
4) Must be organized and efficient
5) Know how to estimate material needs from plans
You will be responsible for the following:
-Ordering materials for different job sites, must know how to manage different vendors and prioritize materials needs
-Dispatch drivers to locations to pick up material or drive yourself to get it
-Perform material estimates for ordering
-Manage waste and returns
-Service equipment or bring to service facilities or schedule servicing
-Inventory tools and keep in good shape, prevent theft
-Keep a service log for all equipment as well as location tracking
In general your job will be to order and manage materials, help mobilize job sites and break them down, make sure all equipment is accounted for and serviced.
You will be dispatching drivers or driving yourself to get material.
If you are handy, worked as a mechanic, or have experience in construction you will be a good fit.
