Seasonal Independent Contractor Night Monitor
We’re hiring Independent Contractor Night Monitors at hotel sites across North/Central NJ (Newark, Hasbrouck Heights, Clark, Secaucus, Teaneck, Elizabeth).
Pay:
$17/hour standard rate
25% holiday‐shift bonus
Last‐minute shift incentives: $22/hr (standard), $27.50/hr (holiday)
Floor‐coverage payments: $15–$45 per extra floor/group
Parking reimbursement with valid receipts
About Us:
Orange Moon provides professional overnight monitoring for student travel groups. As a seasonal independent contractor, you’ll enjoy flexible scheduling and autonomy while ensuring student safety.
Role Summary:
We’re seeking reliable, proactive individuals to patrol hotel floors overnight, document activity, and serve as the primary overnight point of contact for students and hotel staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled patrols of assigned floors every 30 minutes.
- Submit GPS-enabled reports (via smartphone) promptly after each patrol.
- Respond professionally to incidents or concerns raised by hotel staff or group leaders.
- Document all communications and observations for compliance.
- Adhere to uniform and appearance standards; work drug- and alcohol-free.
- Assist with additional floors or groups as needed (earn extra pay).
- Submit parking receipts for reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 21.
- Clean record for violent or sexual offenses; candidates with nonviolent misdemeanors encouraged to apply.
- Reliable and punctual; strong communication skills.
- Comfortable working late-night hours (11 PM–7 AM local time).
- Own a smartphone with GPS capability and data service.
- Professional demeanor and attire required.
Contract Terms:
Independent contractor role. Contractors are responsible for arranging and paying for their own background check and any required insurance.
