Supreme Plumbing Supply, NJ's breakthrough in plumbing supplies, is looking for the right candidate who has what it takes to provide friendly, quality customer service at our sales counter in our Clifton NJ branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide expert knowledge on plumbing supplies and materials
- Counter sales associates assist in the sales of plumbing counter merchandise and other products
- Answer technical questions and address customer concerns in a professional manner
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
-Operate and learn computer system /cash registers and follows established sales order entry and cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized counter and sales area
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, new products, and industry developments
- Meet and exceed sales goals and targets
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales objectives
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a fair and professional manner
- Assist with inventory management and control
-Prepare, pick, and stage orders for customer pick-up
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in the plumbing industry, preferably in a sales or counter sales role
- Strong knowledge of plumbing supplies and materials
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
