We are currently looking to fill a full time position on our manufacturing staff.
Primary Description:
This position requires individuals to assemble web converting machinery utilizing mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical prints.
Responsibilities:
Responsible as part of a team for mechanical assembly of web converting machinery
Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to assemble machinery according to engineering drawing specifications.
Interpret 2D and 3D assembly drawings, schematics, and written standards to perform assembly.
Fit sprockets, pulleys, bearings etc.
Perform a wide variety of fitting and bench/floor assembly of large subassemblies and assemblies.
Precision alignment of conveyance and coating rolls using optical alignment equipment.
Accurately align subassemblies to main assemblies.
Press shafts, bearings, mating parts, drill, tap, and cut materials.
Mount and connect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
Assist in checkout of assembled equipment to ensure functionality.
Working with in house engineering making necessary modifications and corrections during machine assembly, and checkout.
Skills Required:
Ability to use and maintain various hand tools, power tools, benders, and light machining.
Providing of own personal hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, allen wrenches, channel locks, pliers, tape measure etc.)
Ability to use various measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges etc.)
Ability to utilize safe practices and procedures and follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area.
Must have good problem solving skills and be self-motivated.
Must be reliable and punctual.
5+ years experience in the assembly of machinery
This position is available immediately.
