Our client, Personal Care Product Manufacturing Company in Elmwood Park, NJ, is seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join their team. This role is critical in maintaining and operating high-pressure boilers and related equipment to ensure seamless manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in boiler systems, machinery repairs, and general maintenance, along with a High Pressure Boiler Operator License.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and maintain high-pressure boilers and associated systems.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient operation.
Monitor boiler water quality and conduct necessary treatments.
Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues with boilers and related equipment.
Ability to fix machinery is a must, ensuring all systems run efficiently.
Perform welding and electrical repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
Maintain detailed logs and records of boiler operations, maintenance, and safety checks.
Ensure compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
High Pressure Boiler Operator License (Required).
3-5 years of experience in boiler operations, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Strong understanding of boiler systems, steam distribution, pumps, and valves.
Proven ability to repair and maintain machinery.
Welding and electrical skills are a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable working in hot, noisy, and industrial environments.
Ability to stand, climb, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
