Job Overview
We are looking for versatile team members to fill multiple roles in our cafe. The ideal candidates will be team-oriented, enthusiastic, and willing to contribute to multiple aspects of our cafe operations. Responsibilities include cash handling, food preparation, cooking, and crafting specialty coffee and beverage orders. Cross-training in different areas will allow you to play a key role in delivering an excellent dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Cashier:
Greet customers warmly and provide menu recommendations.
Process orders accurately, handle cash and card transactions.
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
Assist with bagging and checking orders for quality assurance.
Line Cook:
Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and portion guidelines.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet our standards.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow food safety protocols.
Prep Cook:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
Assist in restocking kitchen supplies and managing inventory.
Follow kitchen prep lists to ensure ingredients are ready for high-demand periods.
Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of all kitchen equipment.
Barista:
Prepare and serve specialty coffee, teas, and other beverages.
Ensure consistent quality in all beverages made.
Handle customer transactions, including cash and card payments, accurately and efficiently.
Clean and maintain coffee machines and other equipment.
Assist with front-of-house tasks during slower periods, including restocking and light cleaning.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food service or a similar role is a plus.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to multitask and stay organized.
