Franklin Social is a nod to the rich history of Colonial America during Benjamin Franklins early years with a modern take on the American Tavern. Located in the Historic Downtown area of Jersey City, the space is intimately nestled into a quaint residential neighborhood and offers an escape from the big city.
We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to take ownership of this new and exciting venture. Below is a list of responsibilities. Please reach out with cover letter and resume for consideration.
Overseeing and directing the entire back of the house team.
Create new menus alongside our Culinary Director, designing corresponding recipes and oversee preparation with emphasis placed on quality, flavor, consistency & creativity.
Assist in managing the BOH financial responsibilities of the location including: food, labor, supply and equipment costs.
Regulate the purchasing of goods and the standards of products coming into the restaurant.
Oversee training systems for all BOH management and hourly staff.
Participate and actively lead any and all services required.
Set a standard of excellence and integrity for all to follow including safety and sanitation.
Maintain steady demeanor, handling situations diplomatically.
Maintenance & development of vendor relationships (including local purveyors)
Attend off-site charity & promotional events when needed.
Working alongside Management & HR Teams to nurture & develop talent
We require a minimum of 2 years of BOH management experience!
