Join the team at Half Baked, a brand-new bakery in Mahwah!
We’re looking for a reliable, experienced part-time baker to work in our small but mighty kitchen. This position is 10-15 hours/3 shifts a week
Saturdays and Sundays 4 am - approx 9 am
One flexible 4-5 hour weekday shift (between Monday and Wednesday)
This is a solo baking role, so you’ll need to be confident working independently, organized, and comfortable with early mornings.
What You'll Be Doing
Mixing, making, and baking products from scratch using house recipes and commercial equipment
Scaling and gathering ingredients accurately for production
Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
What We’re Looking For
2–5 years of professional baking experience or culinary school background
Familiarity with commercial bakery equipment
Solid understanding of baking science and techniques
Ability to work efficiently and independently
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Basic math skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull heavy equipment
You Should Be
Self-motivated and reliable
Punctual and professional
Comfortable working solo and managing your time
Knowledgeable about food safety
