We are looking for an experienced Host to join the Common Lot Team.
This person will be an integral team member because they are our guests’ first impression of Common Lot.
Our Host will provide a warm welcome to each and every guest who calls or visits our restaurant and will be their last impression after enjoying an amazing dining experience.
Duties:
Our host effectively coordinates and controls our guest flow at the door by enthusiastically greeting arrivals, demonstrates Common Lot’s hospitality by walking our guests to their table, engaging them along the way, seating them, and then at the end of their dining experience, providing a warm farewell to our departing guests
Our Host answers all incoming restaurant calls in a friendly and professional manner
o Manages the reservation system (Resy) to ensure timely seating and optimize table turnover.
o Accurately inputs guest information and details into reservation system (Resy)
experience with use of Resy and Toast POS an advantage
effectively communicates with guests, fellow team members and management
performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning menus, front door glass, entry area etc
ensures restrooms are clean and stocked
Communication with Team:
Collaborate and coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth coordination of guest services.
Relay in a timely manner to relevant team members, all essential and important information about reservations and guests. Including but not limited to, food allergies, special requests, VIP guests etc
Requirements:
Previous experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred, however not required.
Always maintain and display a confident and professional appearance.
Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication, in person and on the telephone.
Ability to work well with a team while also being a self-starter
Weekly Hours:
Friday and Saturday starting at 5pm
Possibility of additional hours Wednesday and Thursday starting at 5 pm
