Aunt Wendy’s Dog Care LLC has been providing dog care services for 18+ years in Maplewood, NJ. We provide a hybrid of dog pack walking and day care services and are a familiar site all around town. We are looking to expand our services to include South Orange, West Orange, Livingston, Millburn/Short Hills, Summit, Springfield, Westfield, Hoboken, Jersey City and other neighboring towns.
Ideal for entrepreneurial, self-starting dog lovers who enjoy the outdoors. The Dog Walker/Pack Leader is responsible for creating and managing your own dog pack
· Pickup & drop off daily dogs Monday - Friday and some holidays (goal 6-12 dogs)
· Walk dogs using specialized hands-free harnessing system (with training from owner)
· Supervise and maintain orderly play period
· Develop/maintain relationship with pet parents
· Record daily attendance records
· Responsible for local sales & marketing to grow territory (with support from owner)
· Capture pictures of dogs for pet parents and social media presence
· Walk in ALL weather, snow, rain or shine
· Provide overnight care (at your home or pet parent’s home) for optional additional revenue opportunity
The Dog Walker/Pack Leader is:
· Comfortable with dogs of all breeds and sizes and LOVES dogs
· Personable and reliable
· Possesses an overall understanding of dog behavior and body language
· Career minded
· Entrepreneurial self-starter
· Detail-oriented and keeps accurate records
· Physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs
· Valid NJ driver’s license and a good driving record
· Own your own car with current insurance and registration
· Preferred – home with outside fenced area and indoor area for play
· Preferred - your home living space allows for dogs to sleepover for optional additional revenue opportunity
· Fluency in written and spoken English language
· Must have US citizenship or valid US work authorization
