CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Our client is a well-established international spirits and liquor distribution and manufacturing organization that is looking to add an Internal Auditor to their team. This organization is looking for someone professional that can work on a team just as effectively as they can work independently. A minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience with auditing in a corporate sales and manufacturing environment is required.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$40/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Applicants for the Internal Auditor role must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for an applicant who his highly analytical and can work on both the big projects and tasks at hand regarding an audit.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INTERNAL AUDITOR:

Perform audit procedures according to the approved audit program for each department, making use of data analytics, statistical sampling, and transactional testing.

Document observations/findings as applicable, collaborate effectively, and develop measurable proposed action plans with management.

Organize and keep an electronic file with the evidence compiled for each department audited.

Communicate the results of the fieldwork performed to the Internal Audit Manager.

Analyze data sets to perform audit planning, sampling, testing, or to evaluate observations.

Present clear and concise observations to the Internal Audit Manager and verify observations with operational management.

Document a written draft objective report that includes audit findings, recommendations, management’s action plans, response, and implementation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE INTERNAL AUDITOR:

Ability to understand, comprehend, and analyze data/figures/information in Excel spreadsheets to interpret and provide meaningful conclusions is required.

Familiarity with data analytics or related software such as SQL, ACL, or other data mining tools is helpful.

Excel Intermediate or above is required (i.e., v-lookup, pivot table) or Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with financial reporting systems.

Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Audit experience in an internal corporate environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE INTERNAL AUDITOR:

Advanced Excel and Data Analysis skills.

SAP is preferred but is not required.

Spanish as a second language is a plus.

Experience with auditing in a corporate, sales environment, and experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree and equivalent experience are preferred.
