Accounting firm looking for an experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper to oversee small team of bookkeepers and maintain accounting records for multiple companies.
The job responsibilities include working closely with our clients to manage their accounting needs and supervise bookkeeping staff. Must be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks Payroll.
Responsibilities:
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Enter data, and maintain records related to financial statements
Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheet
Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable records and process corresponding transactions
Process payroll and tax payments
Oversee bookkeeping staff for accuracy and ensure that all client and reporting deadlines at met
Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve day to day accounting issues for multiple clients on a daily basis
Prior experience at an accounting firm or experience with multiple accounts, bank accounts and clients preferred
Proficient at calculating and processing quarterly payroll reports for NY and NJ
Proven bookkeeping experience
Strong supervisory skills and take-charge mentality
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage financial records
Customer service oriented
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
