Responsibilities:
Transaction Recording:
Accurately record and categorize financial transactions related to freight forwarding activities, including invoicing, payments, and expenses.
Maintain up-to-date and organized financial records using industry-specific accounting software.
Reconciliation:
Conduct regular reconciliations of financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
Reconcile invoices, bills, and statements with relevant supporting documentation.
Financial Reporting:
Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the financial performance of the freight forwarding operations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and management teams, to gather necessary information and address financial queries.
Provide clear and concise financial updates and reports to support decision-making processes.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing efficiency enhancements where possible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Proficiency in accounting softwares and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations and related financial transactions.
Knowledge of relevant accounting principles, regulations, and compliance standards.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
