SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER LARGE MES IMPLEMENTATION NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ Hybrid. Project Description:
- Oversee planning and execution of a very large & critical MES project / implementation for a client's Manufacturing site .
- Manages the project through following phases:
- Functional Design .
- Technical Design .
- Factory Acceptance .
- Implementation .
- Manages Site Roll Out through above phases .
- Drives Quality and adherence to programming standards .
- Develop project estimates, plans and approaches to manage end-to end project execution .
- Assist customer management in complex tasks such as system architecture and/or business process design/redesign .
- Develop and maintain overall project plan with cross-team dependencies .
- Ensure seamless integration into existing processes and systems .
- Oversee IT development and execution of tests .
- Plan and schedule training activities for project-teams and end users .
- Identify dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to appropriate levels of management and stakeholders across assigned projects.
- Ensure project(s) deliverables, schedules, and financials adhere to established norms and are managed in alignment with departmental best practices across their assigned programs and projects.
- Periodically evaluate performance and develop action plans to ensure achievement of performance goals.
- Monitor and control schedule and financial health of their assigned programs and projects and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Proactively remove obstacles to drive assigned project's momentum and progress. Engage and energize the project teams.
- Identify, Plan, Recruit & On-board new contractors to support key project deliverables .
- Ensure timely delivery of the IT deliverables on-time to support business .
- A Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology or related discipline preferred or comparable industry experience.
- Experience in MES / Emerson Syncade and manufacturing domain projects in biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with managing project cost, schedule, and quality management.
- Excellent project management track record/skills Experience in project planning tools like MS Project Ability to work in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication & team management skills.
- Good written and verbal skills & team skills Strong problem-solving skills & proactive attitude.
- Experience in managing large projects related to enterprise systems - Emerson MES, SAP, S&OP, Knection, LabWare LIMS, ELN, Empower, NuGenesis as well as collaboration technologies.
- PMP or Agile Certified will be preferred.
