Application Support Engineer

Description We are seeking an Application Support Engineer for a contract to permanent opportunity in Newark, New Jersey, in the Higher Education industry. In this role, you will be fundamental in enhancing the functionality of our enterprise systems, with a keen focus on application management and database infrastructure.Responsibilities Oversee the performance of our institution's enterprise systems, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Design and implement applications that align with the institutional objectives and user needs. Administer middleware infrastructure to facilitate seamless interaction between different software applications. Manage database infrastructure, ensuring data is stored securely and can be retrieved efficiently. Ensure all processes and systems comply with relevant regulations and standards. Maintain operational excellence across all applications and systems, identifying areas for improvement. Provide support for application-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving in a timely manner. Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Dell Technologies, and Microsoft for application management and support. Use knowledge in AB Testing, Active Directory, and Configuration Management to enhance application performance. Handle computer hardware related tasks, ensuring all are functioning as required for optimal application performance. Employ EO/IR systems skills to support the application environment. Requirements Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is required. Must have knowledge and experience with Database management. Familiarity with Dell Technologies is necessary. Experience with EO/IR systems is a key requirement. Proficiency in Microsoft software and tools is necessary. Must have experience with AB Testing methodologies. Active Directory management skills are required. Experience in Application Support is necessary. Knowledge of Computer Hardware is essential. Experience in Configuration Management is a key requirement.
