Audit Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join our team in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. The Audit Manager will work with the Internal Audit team, executing operational audits, testing controls, and preparing audit reports. This role is a long-term contract position in the insurance industry.Responsibilities: Execute operational audits and test controls as requested by the external auditors Employ familiarity with a risk-based audit approach, sampling and standard audit documentation requirements Utilize knowledge of Electronic Audit Workpaper solutions (i.e., AuditBoard, Teammate, etc.) Prepare comprehensive audit reports and memos to document the scope, procedures, findings and recommendations Communicate effectively with and educate process owners on the importance of controls and the role of internal audit Maintain familiarity with Accounting Software Systems, Audit Program, Audit Engagements, Auditing, Audit Plans, and Budget Processes Assist with testing and documentation related to the audit across areas such as Cash, Claims, and General and Administrative Expenses Assist with testing and documentation within an operational audit of a yet to be determined Business ProcessRequirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Experience in managing Audit Programs Proven track record in leading Audit Engagements Strong knowledge and understanding of Auditing practices Ability to develop and execute Audit Plans Familiarity with Budget Processes Experience in Audit - Financial Proven experience in conducting Annual Internal Audits Proficient in maintaining Audit Workpapers.
