Irrigation and Lighting Technician
Twin Resources is a large design/build construction firm specializing in landscape construction and Maintenance.
Job Description:
The Irrigation and Lighting Technician will manage work with other technicians, layout, install, maintain, or repair sprinkler systems and lighting systems for Twin landscaped properties. The technician will communicate with the property owner/manager on the needs/follow-up of their specific site. The technician will perform installations, troubleshoot existing systems and perform irrigation and lighting repairs and revisions of existing systems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Work with the Irrigation & Lighting Manager and field Crew Leaders & Technicians
· Train with current field technicians to become more proficient including two wires systems.
· Material acquisition prior to starting each project
· Job tracking from start to finish
· Job/Zone Mapping required
· Estimating of projects and service requests
· Manage budgeted crew hours & material costs
· Prioritize and completed work & service requests
· Motivate employees and crews
· Resolve field issues & questions from foreman & project managers
· Submit completed service requests & work order for billing
· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
· Efficient use of time to maximize profitability
· Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills, along with a strong work ethic.
· Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bi-lingual Spanish/English desirable
· Minimum of 3 years as an Irrigation Technician
· Knowledge of all Irrigation Systems
· Ability to get to work at a predetermined time
· Ability to use industry software programs for estimating and job efficiency
· Ability to use phone applications to monitor personal hours
· Ability to stay standing/walking throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs
· Ability to drive/operate Twin vehicles safely and precisely
· Ability to maintain a relationship with a property manager with respect and open communication
· Ability to operate small handheld landscape machinery with precision
· Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
· Well organized with an ability to prioritize tasks
· Must have an eye for detail work
· Valid driver’s license
