We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Cleaner and Organizer to maintain a clean, orderly, and hygienic kitchen environment. This role involves both routine cleaning tasks and strategic organization to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cleaning Duties
- Perform daily cleaning of kitchen surfaces, including countertops, appliances, and floors.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, and refrigerators.
- Empty and clean trash bins; manage waste disposal and recycling.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen storage areas, including shelves and pantries.
2. Organizing Duties
- Organize kitchen supplies, ingredients, and utensils for easy access and efficient workflow.
- Implement and maintain an organized system for inventory management.
- Arrange and store food items according to safety and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure items are returned to their proper places after use.
3. Health and Safety:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination.
4. Additional Tasks:
- Assist with meal preparation tasks as needed.
- Perform periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
- Assist in organizing kitchen supplies and equipment during stock take or special events.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in kitchen cleaning or organizing is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and their proper use.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift objects as needed.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing for extended periods and handling hot or cold kitchen equipment.
- The role involves exposure to cleaning chemicals and potentially high temperatures.
