Restaurant Manager/Floor Supervisor

Edgewater Beach and Cabana Club, NJ’s Premiere Beach Club, is hiring a Restaurant Floor Manager/Supervisor for our exclusive, Members only restaurant, open Saturday and Sundays only, and all Restaurant Catered Private Events (which can be schedule Monday-Sunday). Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays if needed. All applicants must have reliable means of transportation (private or public), willing to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times. Must be hard working, self-motivated, punctual and exercise good judgment. Have the ability to complete all necessary reports utilizing computer and/or smart phone technology. All applicants must have at least 2 years Restaurant/Management experience, undergo a criminal background check, be eligible to work in the U.S. and be TIPS certified. Ideal candidate is hard-working, multi-tasker and highly motivated.

Reports to Food & Beverage Manager, Assistant GM and General Manager.

Supervises: Food Servers, Food Runners, Bussers & Bartenders

Job Knowledge:

Management experience with good leadership, motivational and customer service skills

Ability to suggestively sell wine and cocktails

Ability to demonstrate proper wine service

Ability to train staff

Job Summary:

· Running the day-to-day operations of the restaurant at Edgewater while overseeing the servers, food runners and bussers.

· Supervise dining room staff.

· Working closely with our Executive Chef and communicating with our team the weekend specials.

· Problem solving with our POS system to the waitstaff.

· Managing reservations.

· Maintain order and cleanliness and ensure that member satisfaction standards are consistently attained.

· Ensure efficient food and beverage service.

Essential Duties:

· Maintains presence in the dining room to ensure that functions flow smoothly

· Suggestively sells daily specials and has knowledge of the menus

· Recruit/Interviewing/hiring/training staff for the upcoming season.

· Pre-season work, including but not limited to setting up restaurant, stocking and inventory, setting up equipment, POS systems.

· Assisting with scheduling staff as needed for pre-season set up and events. In season staffing.

· Assisting with any private events/functions in and out of season.

· Responsible for daily workflows, servicing member’s needs, troubleshooting, in addition to serving food/drinks when needed.

· Enforces all rules and regulations set forth by facility.

· Identifies and corrects any safety hazards.

· Be aware of daily club happenings, parties, member & catered events.

· Greets members and their guests in a courteous manor.

· Regular and reliable attendance.

· Performs other duties as required. IE: Waiting tables, serving food, etc.

· Strong attention to detail

· Enforce ALL Club policies and procedures

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands: Required to stand for long periods and walk.

Certificates/Licenses:

ABC card, TIPS certified.

Compensation/Frequency:

Hourly Pay + Tips

Bi- weekly (Cash tips per day worked)

Schedule:

· Weekends required

· Friday 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM (with flexibility depending on scheduled events)

· Saturday 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

· Sunday 12:00 PM – 9: 00 PM

· Additional holiday hours, event hours

· Additional hours available for the right candidate
