Senior Java Developer - Fixed Income ETrading (Onsite Interview/ Local Candidates Only) (W2 Only)

A Rates eTrading Java developer is required to focus on the FICC Emerging Markets eTrading deliveries. The candidate will primarily work on extending and supporting the eTrading system for the Emerging markets rates desk. The candidate will be part of strategic framework development – a multi-year project to re-platform the tech stack and develop next generation of an eTrading platform for the Emerging Markets business. The initial focus will be sovereign bonds and interest rate swaps (both d2d and d2c). The project will evolve to cover other asset classes as part of a cross-line-of-business strategic initiative. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the software development life cycle and will have daily interaction with traders, quants and stakeholders. You must be a self-starter and willing to work with new technologies. We would ideally like some subset of the Skills below:

Excellent core Java

Extensive experience of distributed, multi-threaded system development in Java

Previous experience at a tier one bank.

Strong Rates/Fixed Income product knowledge desirable.

Ability to steer techinical direction

Previous eTrading application development experience is highly advantageous but not essential.

Previous python development experience

Experience of industry standard Continuous Integration and automated testing tools.

An appetite to work on a high profile project in a fast paced delivery focused environment with exposure to business sponsors.

Knowledge of electronic venues such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, MarketAxess is desirable.

Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices.

Proactively own and resolve details of high level tasks

Enjoy team working environment

Demonstrate an understanding of operational aspects of managing a software stack
