Business Technology Engineer

Business Technology Engineering is responsible for the global strategy and engineering for all workstation, telephony, AV, remote access, mobility, and collaboration technologies. The team is aligned with core businesses across the firm, provides global technology solutions that back Tradeweb’s business operations and enables various business and technology teams to deliver top tier customer engagement.Job Responsibilities

Configure and manage Okta, including troubleshooting provisioning, directory sync issues, and onboarding of new applications

Develop and maintain new and existing PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration, and troubleshooting (both one-liners and full, unattended scripts)

Configure and administer Microsoft 365, Entra AD (Azure AD) with an emphasis on compliance, DLP, and security

Manage and maintain global One Identity AcitveRoles deployment

Automate recurring processes into ServiceNow (ServiceNow knowledge not a requirement)

Evaluate, implement, deploy, and maintain 3 rd party applications to meet business needs

Work collaboratively with network teams to test and deploy configurations for Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN

Seek out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions

Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and user profiles (Ivanti UWMAppSense) in an enterprise environment

Collaborate with IT and business teams to identify, design, and implement a broad range of technology solutions that enhance business operations

Document technical procedures and configurations for internal IT knowledge sharing and compliance requirements.

Handle escalations and provide 3 rd level support for End User Systems in collaboration with the End User Support team

Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple system components (endpoint, application servers, network, firewall, etc.)

Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration, from initiation to close. Collaborate with colleagues across the global organization to implement change through structured change

Qualifications

7-10 years support / engineering experience

Engineer’s mindset, with a desire to improve the status quo and solve difficult problems with the right solution, not necessarily the easy solution

Relative work experience or bachelor’s degree

Strong understanding of SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and SSO platforms (Okta)

Strong understanding of application management in an enterprise environment

Strong understanding of PowerShell. Proficiency in other scripting and programming languages also ideal

Proficiency in Windows and macOS administration, Microsoft 365Entra, Active Directory, Group Policy, User Profiles, and enterprise networking

Strong understanding of the requirements of end user compute for Financial Markets Businesses

Understanding of TCP/IP networking principals with a focus on troubleshooting

Knowledge of principles of Service Management (Support and Delivery)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and time zones

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $100,000 to $250,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
