Reload responsibilities span the design of the new fuel assemblies and their integration into reloaded fuel assemblies such that the energy requirements, power distribution requirements, and safety analysis requirements are all met for an operating cycle.Job ResponsibilitiesThe Core Design & Analysis Engineer is responsible for:1) Preparing or reviewing calculations related to core nuclear design, core thermal hydraulic performance, and reload safety analyses2) Monitoring core operation3) Preparing or reviewing nuclear fuel-related design change packages4) Performing 10 CFR 50.59 Reviews5) Maintaining an awareness of industry technical issues that affect core operation or could be implemented to improve performance6) Dispositioning industry issues applicable to nuclear fuel7) Providing Nuclear Fuels inputs to license amendment requests8) Providing multi-cycle analyses to support financial planning9) Maintaining Nuclear Fuels Policies, Programs, Processes, Procedures, and Training and Reference Material10) Reviewing maneuver-specific reactivity management plansJob Specific QualificationsRequired: BS Degree in Nuclear Engineering Minimum of 2 years related experience. Excellent written & oral communication skills Ability to support shift work during plant outages and emergent situations.
