Together, we’ll continue to create and deliver content that reflects the current and ever-changing face of the world.The POST Software Engineer will be responsible for the Dev QC process, CICD management, L3 for Media Asset Management, help with reporting/dashboards and provide overall L3 support to Products/Services for business-critical applications within POST Production Engineering at NBCUniversal.Responsibilities:
Leading the QC process for the Automation team. And the ability to provide tech details to the dev team for debugging.
Run the CI/CD pipeline, optimizing code integration and delivery of the simulation environment.
Develop automation solutions that enable our teams to build and deploy code/apps efficiently and consistently.
Build analytical reports and dashboards.
Provide L3 support for NBCUniversal Cloud Post-Production and on-perm applications/systems, including (and specifically) Media Asset Management
Basic Requirements:
4+ years of overall experience in post-production and/or DevOps Engineering
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience in Development QC Processes Experience with asset management systems (Production Asset Management and Media Asset Management)
Proficient in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell.
Experience in Linux, Windows, Node, React, Python, and Ansible.
Background with some form of source control management (SCM), preferably git.
Should be familiar with the software build process.
Experience working in agile/scrum environment.
Desired Characteristics:
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Experience with post-production tools, such as Avid and Adobe.
Knowledge of cloud automation tools, using both Microsoft Azure and AWS Experience Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Ansible.
Experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Quality, Metadata, ETL, and Data Warehouse methodologies and technologies.
Ability to work remotely effectively with others across geographical locations.
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and schedules.
Strong interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with all technical and operational areas across NBCU.
