Job Details: Role: Cloud Security Engineer With Program Management Skills Location: Edison NJ (Hybrid, Weekly once onsite required) Duration: Fulltime Position Could Security Engineer AWS / Azure - Need to have Project / Program Management Skill set JD: The client has an opportunity for a Cloud Platform Operations Engineer to assist with our on-going security initiatives with a focus on identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities. We are looking for someone with experience supporting applications hosted on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, and cloud IaaS and PaaS platforms to support this effort. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with vulnerability management team on various security initiatives and issues Participate in daily stand-ups and be ready to speak to status and next steps on assignments Validate and triage identified vulnerabilities and track remediation efforts to completion. Manage assigned work in JIRA portal. Provide guidance using specialized knowledge and toolsets to operational teams during enterprise-wide crisis scenarios, large-scale production service outages, outside of the routine change management process Implement cloud architecture best practices and features related to cloud multi-tenancy, virtualization, elastic scalability, networking, security, containerization orchestration, serverless functions, governance, and financial analysis. Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the larger organization and internal customers for cloud native application design and deployment patterns leveraging AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform services such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization, serverless functions, and autoscaling. Develop a library of documented Infrastructure-as-Code design patterns as a basis for deploying services to the cloud (in Terraform or other cloud native tooling such as Azure ARM or AWS CloudFormation) Author Configuration Management cookbooks or playbooks using Chef or Ansible Adhere to immutable infrastructure patterns wherever possible to decrease operational troubleshooting effort and costs Place automation at the forefront of all deliverables to reduce manual toil to the greatest degree Demonstrate ability to back decisions with research and the "why" while articulating several options, along with the pros and cons for each and a recommendation Develop and maintain cross-domain expertise as well as Maintain overall industry knowledge of the latest trends, technology, practices, and methods Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public, and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services Own the "Ops" part of DevOps to ensure that cloud-native workloads are deployed according to best practices. Be an escalation point for the technical operations team to ensure continuity of service delivery and operation in response to monitored events Ensure strong working relationships with other areas of the business contributing to the delivery of service to customers, notably DevOps, Architecture, product management, development, and support Ensure support for a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying areas for potentially improved automation and feeding back to relevant teams Management reporting as necessary Other Duties as necessary Thanks, and regards, Raghavendra Kani Solutions, Inc
