Job Title: Delivery Driver (with Forklift Experience)

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our growing hardwood flooring wholesale distribution team. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, live in or near Plainfield, NJ, and be ready to begin training immediately in Phillipsburg. This role combines physical activity, customer service, and logistics—perfect for someone who enjoys working on the move.
Gas expenses will be reimbursed during the training period in Phillipsburg. Operations will transition to Raritan in early July, and to Plainfield in mid-August.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Load and unload hardwood flooring products using a forklift and manual labor when needed.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any delivery issues.
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, representing the company positively.
- Use GPS or maps to plan and adjust routes for efficient delivery.
- Support warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory handling and organization.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Forklift experience is a must.
- Must reside in or near Plainfield, NJ and be available for training in Phillipsburg starting immediately.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials safely and effectively.
- Prior delivery or warehouse experience preferred (but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills.
