ShadowBox Pictures (Yardley, PA) is seeking young, experienced, women and men qualified candidates to join our staff as a video editor and production tech. / equipment manager / van driver. This full-time position is ideal for young freelance FILMMAKERS WITH 2-YRS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE editing and shooting projects, who have samples of lighting, shooting, and editing on their reel and seek to grow further within an established commercial & corporate video production company as an editor, shooter, lighter, video tech. and production coordinator.

ShadowBox has three networked 4K Avid Media Composer / Adobe Creative Cloud Edit Suites. We own three camera packages, including a Sony MPC-3610 VENICE digital cinema package. As you train, you will learn commercial and corporate program editing, motion graphics, compositing, and animation. For production you will to configure, set-up, and shoot with this camera and others. You will also learn media management and post-production workflows in order to bring your footage home for editing in our connected Avid and Adobe edit suites.

Requirements include: up to 2-years of video editing experience and an online sample reel, a valid driver's license, your own working car (commute to Yardley), smartphone, and laptop. You MUST be in good physical shape (to lift and load lighting and camera equipment). You must be trustworthy, approachable, flexible, resourceful, willing to learn, and, above all, enthusiastic to master a range of post-production, pre-production and production tasks, each performed with integrity and on-time.

Initial responsibilities include assistant editing and editing with Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro.In production you will have some PA responsibilities, and help coordinating video shoots, scheduling crews & talent, maintaining our inventory of production gear, loading/driving our production van to studios and locations (near and far). You will also drive for equipment pick-ups, returns, and running errands when needed. You will run and shoot in-house casting sessions, and assist in the digital post-production work-flow with opportunity to manage media and assist in editing.

We strongly emphasize this is a staff position that pays a starter salary (i.e. no overtime). After establishing their credentials, people who have filled this position have moved-on to establish freelance careers as editors and motion graphics artists, grips/electrics, gaffers, DITs, camera ops, lighting directors and directors of photography. Others have migrated to full-time careers as production coordinators, assistant directors, line producers, and managers of corporate video departments.
