Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and adaptable individual to fill the role of Outbound Coordinator. This position involves operating a forklift in a cold storage environment while also coordinating outbound operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a cold environment and possess the necessary skills to safely operate machinery and coordinate logistics tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift in a cold storage environment to move, stack, load, and unload materials or products.
2. Cold Storage Management: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures for working in a cold storage environment, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
3. Material Handling: Transport materials or products to designated storage areas or loading docks using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and storage procedures.
4. Shipping and Receiving: Receive incoming shipments in the cold storage facility, verify contents against documentation, and prepare outgoing shipments for delivery.
5. Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of materials or products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment, especially in cold storage conditions.
6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and temperature logs using inventory management systems or software.
7. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns related to cold storage operations.
Qualifications:
1. Valid forklift operator certification/license.
2. Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods and follow safety protocols for cold storage operations.
3. Strong attention to detail and focus on safety while operating machinery in cold conditions.
4. Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and shipping/receiving processes.
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
7. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with inventory management software or systems.
2. Prior experience in outbound coordination or logistics coordination.
3. Familiarity with cold chain management practices and temperature-sensitive shipping requirements.
4. Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Working Conditions:
Outbound Coordinator will primarily work in a cold storage environment, operating a forklift and performing various warehouse tasks. This role will involve exposure to cold temperatures, loud noises, moving machinery, and physical exertion. Proper safety equipment, including cold-weather gear, will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20/hr
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11am-7pm
