We are a busy trucking / Recycling company We are searching for an experienced Full charge accounting & bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. Candidate should exhibit extreme attention to detail, responsible, fast learner, and flexible to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

Responsibilities are:

-Overseeing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeeping

-Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time

Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows

-Maintaining knowledge of current federal, state, and local legal requirements, ensuring adherence to them, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions

-Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

-Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets

-Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed

-Filing documents to maintain historical records Requirements - Flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

Basic requirements for the position include:

-Payroll experience preferred

-Proficiency in Microsoft Work & Excel

-Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

-Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting

-Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

-Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

-Solid understanding of QuickBooks

-Bank Account Reconciliation experience

-3+ years of bookkeeping experience

-Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

-Familiar with EFTPS and IRS payments

-Problem Solver

-Bilingual (Spanish & English)

-Experience with insurance claims is a plus, but not mandatory

-Must be used to a fast pace environment where skills and responsibilities can vary on a day to day basis.
