The Forklift Operator/Receiver is responsible for operating a Forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count product. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.
Receiving/Put-Away; unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas
Quality; Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage, report quality variances
Order Picking; Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy of orders pulled, is loaded and shipped, perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards
Equipment; Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift
Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
Complete daily inspection of equipment
Ensure proper stock rotation
Complete and submit daily paperwork as required
Use Radio-frequency equipment for receive, put away, and load functions as required (SAP)
Conduct cycle counts, assist in replenishment of stock in pick locations
Dispose of boxes manually when needed
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
Forklift certified
Maintain a clean work area through daily sanitation and/or operation of the Tennant Floor scrubber as needed
Support Damaway process and actively participate on teams
Others task as assigned
Knowledge of Forklift and Warehouse Operations; Flexibility with schedule to assist in overtime coverageHigh School Diploma/GED required; minimum of two (2) years Forklift certified experience required in a fast pace warehouse environment; Forklift related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, ability to write simple correspondence, ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Must have excellent math skills, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, ability to prioritize and organize, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Knowledge of safety programs and procedures; Timely completion of CBT's and annually required forklift certification training
Team player; work with fellow employees and management while providing a high level of customer service to our customers
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with equipment maintenance work
