Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in the retail clothing and accessories industry. In this role, you will be responsible for tasks such as verifying information in the Accounts Payable system, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate invoice processing. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Verify the accuracy of information in the Accounts Payable system Handle vendor risk management and prevent potential fraud Maintain and manage Vendor Master Files efficiently Review processed invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies Assist with monthly Debit Balance report and vendor file preparation for IRS 1099s Validate records with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with tax documentation Reconcile vendor statements and provide cover for associates when needed Respond to inquiries via email and telephone and assist supervisors with other Accounts Payable tasks Run and analyze daily vendor change reports, confirming updates in the Global Vendor Management System and SAP Research and input complex invoices into the system.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Experience in using Oracle and SAP Skilled in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Knowledge of Coding Invoices and Invoice Processing Strong Data Entry skills Understands the 3 Way Matching process Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations Capable of handling high volume invoice processing Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work well in a team environment Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Prior experience in a similar role within the retail or clothing industry is a plus.
