Description An international and employe friendly company in Bergen County is seeking a Senior Manager, Shared Services – Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable to oversee the daily and overall management of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) departments across all U.S. locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate cash disbursement and cash application, driving process improvements, and strengthening internal controls in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Ensure Trade AP, Trade AR, Related Party, and Intercompany Accounts across all U.S. locations are accurately analyzed and reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Provide strong leadership in managing the Accounts Payable Shared Services setup, focusing on continuous process improvements and adaptation to change.
Oversee and manage critical financial systems, including Concur Travel & Expense, SAP Business Partner database, SAP Miscellaneous Invoice, and Parent Company Invoice database.
Supervise AP and AR department leads, ensuring all daily, monthly, and year-end activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
Collaborate with the Controller, Customer Service Finance, to enhance and improve internal controls for AP and AR across all U.S. locations.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
8+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable or related financial operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a complex corporate environment.
Proven expertise in a Shared Services environment, with a track record of driving process improvements and leading change in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
Strong understanding of AP and AR processes and core accounting principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
Proficiency in SAP, Concur, and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
