Senior Procurement Category Manager

We currently have a new exciting career opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Category Manager to join the NRMA Procurement Team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will effectively manage multiple procurement projects over a broad range of procurement categories. The role will ensure risk mitigation through effective contracting and generating the best commercial outcome for the NRMA.What You'll DoLead and manage a pipeline of end-to-end procurement projects within your assigned categories.Identify and implement category strategies to optimize business efficiencyDefine and delivery a range of category management plansIntegrate the category management plans into the overall procurement strategy, annual budget and organisational KPIsEnsure procurement activities are aligned with NRMA policies and business strategiesRegular and effective internal stakeholder engagement and advice to agree and implement procurement projectsLead supplier negotiations, ensuring value for money and compliance with NRMA processes, procedures and policiesUnderstand the current baseline expenditure profile including all the drivers that make up that expenditure for all assigned projects within the assigned categories of spendWhat You'll Bring7+ years procurement experience with primary accountability for end to end procurement processesExtensive experience within a Strategic Procurement function, including hands-on Category Management experienceCategory management competency and experience in IT and Corporate Services categories would be highly regardedProven category management competency and experience in a range of indirect categories is essentialContract Management experience essential including a proven ability to formulate contracts and schedules to contractsLeadership, ability to coach and develop stakeholders, manage performance and achieve objectivesStrong influencing skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholdersProcurement/Business acumen combined with highly developed strategic and commercial skillsStrong negotiation and communications skillsWhat's in it for you?At the NRMA we aren’t just about discounts (although you do get these).
