To put it simply we want our people to thrive and love the work they do.Reporting to the Head of Unlisted Asset Valuation, Finance and Investment Operations, this role will be required to support: - Growth in the private market portfolio. Will be responsible for approx. 4-5 internally managed investment valuations and 21 externally managed investments. Expansion of scope. The intention is for the Valuations team to take ownership of financial models (maintenance and update) for internally managed investments. This includes appointment of external experts for providing key forecast assumptions.New Best Finance Interest Duty (BFID) function. From March 2025, the Valuations team has taken on the responsibility for managing the BFID framework, endorsing BFID assessments and updating the BFID Tool/ Register and associate reporting.New regulatory reporting requirements. From September 2025, Rest is required to provide additional reporting on valuations to APRA.Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesValuation responsibilitiesControlling and managing valuation risk by ensuring valuation conclusions are appropriate and there is robust documentation for your portfolio of investments (will be assigned a few from each Asset Class).Active involvement and stakeholder management of key persons from each of the Asset Class Investment teams, external managers and external valuers (including Infrastructure, Property, Private Equity and Alternatives) to understand and challenge valuation assumptions, inputs and ensure an independent view.Reviewing key valuation metrics and assumptions for consistency across the portfolio and maintain and database thereof.Administering and managing the valuation timetable (including the RFP process) and ensure valuations are undertaken on a timely basis.Researching and developing valuation insights for use in the valuation of unlisted assets.Reporting any key valuation matters/ findings on your assigned portfolio of investments in the form valuation papers/ presentations to the Valuation Committee.Best Finance Interest Duty (BFID) responsibilitiesProvide guidance and training to business users (from divisions across Rest) on compliance with the Rest BFID Policy and how to appropriately undertake the required cost-benefit analysis to support each expenditure proposal.Prepare reporting on key BFID matters to Executives and Board Committees.Maintain, update and evolve BFID assessment tools/ models/ reports.
