Need IT Field Technician/Customer Service Engineer in North Kansas City, MO

Job Description This position is a Dedicated Campus Tech for the client-specific site in North Kansa City, MO.The resource would only be supporting services for client at this location.It is conceivable that they could support other locations remotely for SW Break/Fix type requests, but physically they would be restricted to the North Kansa City, MO campus location.The Candidate must have valid Driver’s License and be current on COVID vaccinations / boosters.This role combines strong technical skills with an emphasis on the delivery of high level of customer service.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for on-site and/or remote installation, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or repair of desktops, video-conference devices, phones, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals
  • Performs troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades, basic deployment, and repair on desktops / notebooks/ printers
  • Identifies potential issues that could adversely impact end user experience and takes corrective action
  • Active Directory - Computer management.
  • Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.
  • Reviews, troubleshoots and approves operational quality desktops, notebooks, printers, and associated peripherals
  • Installs, maintains and optimizes desktop /notebook configurations at customer site.
  • Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
  • Performs maintenance and repair services
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance
  • Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Individuals have a well-rounded knowledge of the policies and procedures for their work area.
  • Work may require discretion and independent judgment for non-routine matters, however, the primary focus of work activity is predominately routine.
  • Occasional local travel including overnight domestic trips may be required.

Required Skills
  • Experience in factory/manufacturing environment desirable
  • Experienced in Active Directory user administration, OS imaging processes, ticketing, SW installation and imaging tools, automated help desk systems, troubleshooting in the Windows desktop environment (networking, OS, Microsoft Office suite, PC hardware, printers), network and local printer installation
  • Basic understanding of SCCM client troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, Windows Security (Share and NTFS permissions).
  • Knowledge Windows OS and related configuration.
  • Knowledge of Servers, Switches, Routers, and Data Center related HW
  • Basic knowledge of Backup technologies
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented multi tower and vendor environments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work, and
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle and safeguard confidential information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to deliver services on time, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and achieve a high degree of end user satisfaction
  • Ability to convey technical issues and material to non-technical end users and managers
  • Must have excellent customer service skills

Engagement Terms:
  • Location: North Kansas City, MO.
  • Contract To Hire
  • Duration: 1 year
  • Rate: : $20 - $22 per hour
  • Interview mode: Video, MS Teams
  • Work Schedule/Shift: Monday -Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  • 40 Hours per week across 5 days
  • Candidate must have active driver's license and Proof of Covid Vaccination
  • Business Travel Required: Yes
  • Candidates need to start immediately within 1-2 week’s notice
  • Need A “Valid” Driver License, Valid Passport, or Birth Certificate
  • Need to undergo a background check and drug screen check.
