We are seeking a highly skilled Bench Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and computers to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of failure by performing the following procedures:
Reads test schedules, work orders, test manuals, etc. to build specifications to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
Tests functional performance of systems, sub assemblies and parts under specific environmental conditions such as temperature change, vibration, pressure and humidity.
Compares results with specifications and records test data.
Analyzes test results on defective units to determine the cause of failure.
Replaces Defective wiring and components and records defects in our industry specific software (MCS).
Loads operating systems and configures computer system to customer defined specifications.
Devises test equipment setup to evaluate performance and operation of customers units.
Communicates effectively with others to identify and resolve technical problems.
Proven experience in support and troubleshooting, preferably in a bench technician role.
Knowledge MS Excel spread sheet and MS Word software
Skills:
Ability to calculate figures circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, applies feedback as well as monitoring own work to improve quality and performance.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear and concise manner and asks for clarification when in doubt. Supports everyone’s efforts to accomplish goals.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks.
