We are looking for an Intermediate level or skilled carpenter to join our crew. We are a design build company (tightknotdb.com) of 4 people and do ground up residential construction. This ranges from framing, all the way through finish phase of new homes.
Our company is more precision oriented than other outfits. This means we are looking for someone who has good attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Our company culture is generally self-motivating. The style of management is making expectations clear early on and allowing people to find a rhythm and be themselves on site.
Our crew currently has an experienced carpenter, and another intermediate level carpenter, and me the owner who is currently working as a site lead. We are in a position where I'm wearing too many hats and I would like to bring someone new in to fill a role that we can nurture someone in to. Our current most skilled carpenter is open to working with someone less skilled and being the new site lead but also loves the idea of finding someone more experienced than himself to work with that can be the lead.
We have work booked up for the next few years so there is no shortage of work, even though winter. We typically do framing and get the roof done on our jobs in the months with better weather and strategically work inside the homes in the winter. My employees who have been with me for a long time have never been told to not come in to work. I make it my mission to always keep everyone employed no matter what.
The major basics that are needed are
-Transportation
-Personal carpentry tools (we can discuss specifics)
Reach out if you have any interest, and I can relay other things that we are looking for, in addition to learning more about what you need. Our website is tightknotdb.com check out our work
