The Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church (PUUC) is a welcoming congregation that serves the Monadnock area through social action, and offers a theologically liberal community, centered in love, and honoring diversity.
We are looking for a part-time administrator/bookkeeper. The office administrator provides administrative support to the overall functioning of the church, including publication of a weekly newsletter, the weekly order of service, coordinating rentals, and processing payables and receivables, including payroll. The ideal candidate would be proficient in Microsoft Office platform, Quickbooks and Quickbooks Payroll, and Canva software. As this person is often the initial contact between the public and the church, they must possess competence, politeness, and sensitivity in dealing with people, and need to respond appropriately to a variety of circumstances and requests. Due to the diverse interactions and tasks that are part of this job, the individual must be caring, discreet, flexible, outgoing, and possess a sense of humor. Salary range is $27,500-31,342 per year, depending upon skills and experience. This is a 28 hour per week position.
