Position Period:
April-October
Hours:
This is a part-time position with hours ranging from 25-30 hours/week, depending on the season.
Compensation:
$15 per hour + lots of veggies!
Responsibilities:
You will be assisting the farm manager in daily farm tasks, including:
Field work: transplanting, weeding, bed preparation, trellising, irrigating, pest control, spreading compost & soil amendments
Greenhouse tasks: seeding, watering, pest management
Maintaining equipment and farm infrastructure
Record keeping and organizational tasks
Harvesting, washing & packing vegetables, and other post-harvest management of vegetables
Qualifications & Experience:
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Previous farming experience or interest in learning
Experience working outdoors
Passionate about growing food
Hard working & great attention to detail
Good communicator & team player
