Job Summary:
The Cook/Driver candidate will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for preparing and delivering daily meals for our customers! The Cook/Driver candidate must have some cooking experience and be able to prepare sandwiches and salads according to recipes. In addition, the Cook/Driver must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be focused on excellent customer service!
Essential Functions and Key Tasks:
Cook:
Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters and other equipment.
Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, rotating stock and following food company labeling & dating procedures.
Monitor, cook and prepare foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or utilization of food thermometers.
Responsible for preparation of stations, as directed, according to company guidelines.
May assist in supporting culinary staff at numerous stations as directed.
Communicate with supervisor regarding kitchen equipment/supply needs.
Adhere to and promote company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, uniform guidelines, and productivity.
Driver:
Operate company vehicle (van, truck, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Load and unload product from designated location into company vehicle for delivery.
Maintain positive customer and client relations at all times.
Complete necessary paperwork for billing and maintain internal and external customer invoices.
May include filling gas task & coordinating preventative maintenance for vehicle.
Adhere to delivery schedule as assigned to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
Comply with all state and federal traffic rules & regulations.
Provide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Cook/Driver Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in food service
Previous customer service experience
Good Driving Record
Organizational Skills
Must be able to pass a Background Check to work in this location
