Production Coordinator, MSNBC Newsgathering

The Production Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the newsroom. This position works closely with field producers, newsgathering managers, and assignment editors to ensure smooth coordination of news coverage and logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesSupport producers, managers, and assignment editors in daily news operations.Assist in booking travel for reporters, producers, and on-air talent.Coordinate with newsgathering personnel to book field crews and schedule studio/flash cam time.Assist in managing logistics for news coverage, including transportation, equipment, and on-location needs.Fill in on the assignment desk when needed.Assist on ad hoc projects and other duties assigned by newsgathering management.Maintain a working knowledge of current news events to help support coverage decisions.Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
