OBJECTIVES:To manage the operations of the Sprinkler Inspection Division. To manage the technical and administrative personnel within the Division. To achieve financial and operational goals of the Sprinkler Division including revenue generation, cost control, and gross margin contribution. To ensure a high level of customer satisfaction for Sprinkler customers. To ensure the proper training and safe working procedures of Sprinkler technical personnel and to abide by the policies specified in the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.NATURE OF POSITION:This position reports to the Sprinkler Department Manager. The Sprinkler Inspection Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Sprinkler Division. The Supervisor will supervise technical and administrative personnel to achieve any financial or operational goals. The Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring Sprinkler customer satisfaction. The Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for technical personnel and for ensuring that they are properly trained.RESPONSIBILITIES:· Work with the Sprinkler Department Manager and other managers to develop financial and operational goals.· Ensure the effective operation of the Sprinkler Inspection Division and the efficiency of Sprinkler personnel.· Establish productivity goals for technical and administrative goals that fit in with the tactical priorities of thedivision.· Achieve the assigned monthly goals for revenue and cost control and correct any budgetary deficiencies.· Lead the technical and administrative personnel in providing a high level of customer service.· Ensure that the technical personnel are highly trained in our services and products as well as safety.· Learn and ensure compliance with all applicable industry codes.· Protect the company’s assets.· Perform any other tasks assigned by the Sprinkler Department Manager or Managing Member.REQUIREMENTS:· Possess any necessary licensing and certification required by National, State and Local codes.· Minimum 3-5 years related experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer servicebusiness.· NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions.· Working knowledge of NFPA 72.· Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics andoperational/product manuals.· Ability to operate hand and power tools.· Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 40 lbs.· Proficiency with using PCs including working knowledge of MS Excel / Word as well as iPhone/iPad apps.· Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high liftequipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.· Willingness to travel out of town including overnight lodging.· Demonstrate a high level of customer service.· A strong work ethic and professional appearance.· Ability to work within a team environment.· Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.· Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.· Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes.· Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.· Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required.
