Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe are seeking a Research Fellow to join the Auckland Bioengineering Institute (ABI), contributing to the Heart Mechanics Research Group. This position is funded by the Health Research Council (HRC) programme grant and will focus on advanced cardiac imaging, modelling, and analysis to develop and translate novel medical imaging and biophysical modelling tools to the clinic.In this role, you will:Analyse cardiac images to create personalised heart models from medical imaging databases.Perform quantitative analyses of cardiac metrics for comparison between demographic and pathological groups.Contribute to leading and coordinating local cardiac imaging studies.Translate, test, and validate novel model-based imaging tools.Publish high-impact research in leading international journals.Present findings at renowned local and international conferences.This is a full-time (40 hours per week), fixed-term contract for 24 months.
