The medical programme is an undergraduate course The MPD oversees 1500 student taught over 8 clinical sites and the preclinical site at Grafton Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Medical Programme Directorate (MPD) is seeking expressions of interest for the position of:  Director of Assessment (0.4FTE) in the medical programme.

The main objective of this role is to provide leadership, educational and policy advice for all elements of the assessment strategy for the medical programme, support the implementation of the assessment policy with particular oversight of progress testing and the assessment of the five major domains of the programme. The Director of Assessment also guides the decisions of the Boards of Examiners about student progress.

This is a part time 0.4FTE (16 hours per week), permanent role.

Remuneration range is broad and dependant on experience (120,752 - 170,000.00 per annum), pro-rata for part-time hours.

The MPD also provides leadership and management of all relevant academic processes to implement the programme efficiently, actively contributes to the Faculty and its committees with reports and/ or evidence, as required and it communicates and liaises with all schools contributing to the medical programme.He kōrero mōu | About you

This role will suit an experienced clinician, with a relevant postgraduate qualification. You will have sound educational knowledge of principles and types of assessment, and experience in successful teaching in a medical education setting.
