Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityStrategic University leader at Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading University (QS #65).Develop, influence and deliver University-wide education strategies that enable rich and successful student experiences.Responsible for academic quality and governance, you will champion relevant curriculum and teaching standards across the university.Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education (DVC Education) is a key member of the University Executive Committee, setting the direction for the University’s education portfolio, enabling us to meet our strategic objectives and Vision 2030. We aim to provide an inclusive, flexible and top-quality educational experience to our 47,000 students who are supported to challenge themselves and achieve academic success that leads them to rewarding careers.You will bring experience of successful academic scholarship and university leadership, including developing and delivering on strategy, and the ability to provide leadership to highly skilled senior leaders across the portfolio. A systems thinker, you will ensure all parts of the educational offering from foundation programmes through to Masters degrees and University of Auckland Online courses are aligned, relevant and of consistently high quality.You will work inclusively across the university, leading the development of educational strategies and initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance, sustainability and academic quality.
