Greg's Garage is seeking a full-time parts manager. The parts department ensures that every vehicle gets the correct parts to complete the task. The parts position must find the best part at the right price in the shortest amount of time. There are warehouses, dealerships, suppliers, and vendors to source from.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Parts Manager. You will be responsible for managing the inventory of parts needed to complete repairs. This includes coordinating with the mechanics to determine when a vehicle can be completed. We offer a competitive salary plus commission as an incentive to shop around and utilize a price matrix. We also have a management system in place to track and report returns, warranties, and cores for credit. Finally, we use buckets to organize the parts needed for each job and replaced parts for the customer to inspect.
Qualifications
A highly organized individual with a lot of experience in the automotive parts industry. They must be good with computer software, especially for inventory control and can handle a lot of moving parts and can keep track of them all. The applicant must be honest and communicate well, even under pressure. They will also be able to interact with vendors over the phone.
